B: -random generic response-
A: -keeps ranting, mentions a couple of not really relevant details in the process (i.e.: "I was wearing a blue shirt the last time I got rejected"-
B: -more generic responses-
A: -keeps ranting-
B: "wait ... what were you wearing the last time you got rejected?"
A: "a blue shirt, why?"
B: "you fucking retard! that's the worst thing you can do when approaching girls!"
A: "seems legit"
B: -keeps cringing at A-
the brutal part is that Bs aren't doing this deliberately, as calculated moves, or to troll As - it's just that their brains can detect the outline of a causal chain that led to a particular event, but still can't resist the appeal of what's basically copping out of arguing
(i used the girlfriend theme since it's pertinent to the forum and probably relatable to many guys here, but this is a universal occurrence; it happens regardless of the topic of the discussion)
and, in case you are already typing a butthurt post about "normies" and trying to imply you are original and special like a little npc faggot, this mechanism can be seen at play on these forums too all the time
