Life is just a series of dopamine rushes and cortisol crashes. It doesnt matter what you do, the better you feel now, the worse you will feel later and vice versa. There is a certain amount of dopamine that can be released every day, say 1000 units. One day you feel only bad, the next day you have 2000 units. It stacks. The units will be released even if its in a dream. There is some sort of balance, homoesthasis. Its much deeper than that btw. Life is too strange.
