Nuclear Fusion is nothing new, it happens in the sun naturally and we are trying to recreate it to create a lot of energy to replace our current Oil based energy.

If you weren't aware, there are Nuclear Fusion labs run by government agencies and Nuclear Fusion Startups on a crazy rise.
And they all have achieved Nuclear Fusion but only for a split second at max.

Top Players in the Nuclear Fusion industry are:
ITER (government)
Helion
General Fusion
TAE technologies
Some of these firms (especially Helion) are claiming Nuclear Fusion to be a feasible pragmatic energy solution within the next 5-10 years.
They're even backed by Peter Thiel (One of the main co-founders of PayPal, and was the first to fund facebook, etc)

that still means energy will have to be bought etc. and people who invested in these companies will win big time because if this happens a reality, ultimately all the world will switch to it.
and whatever we make from oil and whatever pollution we have, we can suck all that and pump it right back into the earth because there will be a lot of energy
