I do agree free market works like a charm:

Isn't this a fantastic example of how efficient market is when you let it work its magic, @Busty Doll

The best one wins, whether it's a phone, a missile, a navigation system, you name it.

We are talking about a scenario where a country politically, in its legislative body, decides to btfo taxes, destroys/privatizes THE ENTIRE INFRASTRUCTURE and starts over, using a system where you can't even take a walk in the park without someone charging you 250 EUR for it. For a walk. And then 280 EUR for a walk. And then 10 EUR for a step.

I mean you know I know what you are doing, and we both know why you are doing it.

It's a known scare tactic: "If the government didn't make bread... capitalists would charge you 1 million dollars per loaf. Then what? Huh?"

IRL this would make other entrepreneurs open bakeries with lower prices

and then they run out of business because their model is not profitable. until a new one shows up, where do you buy your bread? at the next least-expensive bakery, right? what does the said bakery do then, think - fuck, we should do what those guys before us did and go bankrupt or hey, it seems like people HAVE TO buy bread here, so why not raise the prices some more? of course the prices wouldnt go up indefinitely, THE FUCKING POINT IS YOU'D END UP FINANCIALLY WORSE OFF THAN IF YOU JUST PAID YOUR SHITTY TAXES IN THE FIRST PLACE AND, FOR SOME ESSENTIAL SERVICES AND PRODUCTS, YOU'D END UP SO MUCH WORSE OFF IT WOULD JEOPARDIZE YOU VERY EXISTENCE

this is all hypothetical in this specific example because the government doesn't make bread, obviously. bakeries and shops are private and not tax-income funded. dear god.

also, i have a question.

RE: a question - MysteriousWeeb420 - 20-06-2026

bread is a terrible example here because it is both excludable and rivalrous

RE: a question - You're dead - 20-06-2026

In a lolbert society if everything is owned by someone what would hobo sapiens such as myself do? I mean if every square inch of everything is now private property

I'm assuming someone set up hobo gladiatorial matches in exchange for being able to squat on their land and extract water from it and grow crops

Tbh I think I'd break into dolly busters house and impersonate him by wearing his skin as clothes. Doubt anyone would give a shit or notice a difference

i mentioned it for the hygiene of the discussion, yeah. just proves that this subhuman's brain completely collapses when he tries to argue normally. just can't hold too many parameters and variables in his head at once.

jfl if you think he knows which classification does this come from

Not at all, 100% of customers would flock to the new bakery that sells for $999,999.

And then the next one for $800,000 all the way down to $0.2 where it might stop because the free market equilibrium has been reached and the price of bread discovered

RE: a question - rapist - 20-06-2026

all of this already dont exist...

Do you know how many economics classes I've listened to

And now you think you can overturn this by running a Size 5 Font and writing "commie good"

what house? in such a society, LIDL-rich people like him would become homeless in no time because their financial "profits" coming from being tax free would get obliterated by increased cost of living. as shitty as public services and tax income distribution are 99% of the time, at least they are under scrutiny, by the political opposition at least. on the other hand, you have to be a massive fucking brainlet and a grade A life-virgin to think private companies are, just because they have the profit-or-perish pressure, some angelic organizations who'd rather shut themselves down than fuck buyers over in one way or another. i mean, there are thousands and thousands of news and criminal/civil cases pertaining to this problematic arising on a daily basis, ffs

but business subjects don't disappear and reappear just like that, specially in very complex industries, genius. sometimes there are huge gaps in between. also, you don't need 1 product or service in your life; you need a gazillion of them, so a couple of instabilities are enough to make you lose a fortune (reminder we are talking about huge infrastructural setups and gigantic organizations that are ACTUALLY FUNDED BY TAXPAYER MONEY and belong to the state, not fucking flower shops started by regular joes from THEIR SAVINGS, FOR GOD'S SAKE).

i'm sure you'd just "flock" to another road owner if one large route became unaffordable to you or just inaccessible to everyone because of technical issues or legal or administrative blocks, often even years-long litigations about ownership rights. you'd just invent more space in different dimensions to make room for building new ones that lead from the same A to the same B, right?

RE: a question - cryingIRL - 20-06-2026

Without a high IQ population no policy or form of government can bring safety or prosperity.

Third world countries tried everything, they all had communist and capitalist eras, they had monarchy and democracy and dictatorship but the actual problem was the criminal subhuman demographics.

I'm the #1 economist of all times, the authority on this.

When I pontificate on an issue, you remember that you have 2 ears and only 1 mouth which means you listen more.

The free market has mechanisms to force the correct picture. If some shithead asks $1M for bread, then there will be no bidders. No need to "ban such high prices being asked."
