The reason art so often reverts to smut is due to its primary function being a facilitator of mating. This is why they are always making excuses to get women naked in Hollywood. Why "nudes" are such a thing throughout art history. It's all a subliminal method for getting women closer to nakedness, horniness, and reproduction.
Porn is a highly dysfunctional subversive and maladaptive form of this because it encourages non reproductive sex. A lot of art is approaching porn. Most of hollywood has become porn when it comes to depicting the subject of sex

we have the most porn, nudity, and depravity on full display than every before in history yet birthrates r all time low (most ppl still engage in reproductive sex and birth control has been arnd for half a century but after 2000s us + euro birth rate went from mid 2s to 1.65) . the only countries reproducing in mass rates r the ones that view women as property etc like nigeria pakistan etc etc.
