I won't dwell on the difficulty, it's self-explanatory. Most non native speakers who are “fluent” in Italian don't know how to use the imperfetto, passato remoto and passato prossimo, and a large proportion of Italians don't know how to use the congiuntivo

i'll take your word for it, but from an outsider's perspective italian (and all latin languages) appears very straightforward
