I see, so why doesn't Putin withdraw to his own country, thereby ending Zelensky's plan to eat defense aid for breakfast lunch and dinner

he doesn't want the situation to repeat like it already has. he doesn't want the shelling of ethnic russians to continue. there might be some ulterior motive, but they're not relevant to the war ending now as long as zelensky stops being evil.

There was no shelling of ethnic Russians. The entire time, an OSCE delegation was observing.

Russia is a permanent UN member and could have brought the matter to the Security Council, which they never once did.

Declaring it in Russia could destabilize Putler

The point was that the losses must be absolutely insane if you declare total mobilization on 10 million men and already a year in you're down to kidnapping men walking down the street.

The fact that in the time of AI when you double check any claim within a few seconds can get you're still talking out of your ass shows you're really out of touch.

Yes. Russia has repeatedly brought up the issue of the treatment of people in Donbass (Donetsk and Luhansk regions) at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) since the conflict began in 2014.
  • 2014 onward: After the annexation of Crimea and the outbreak of fighting in eastern Ukraine, Russia used UNSC meetings to accuse Ukraine of committing human rights violations and even “genocide” against the Russian-speaking population of Donbass.
  • 2015–2021: Russia regularly requested UNSC briefings on the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, often framing the conflict as Kyiv oppressing Donbass civilians.
  • 2022 (before and after invasion): In the lead-up to the full-scale invasion, Russia convened UNSC meetings (February 2022) to argue that Ukraine was committing atrocities in Donbass — one of the justifications it presented for recognizing the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
  • Since 2022: Russia continues to raise the issue at the UNSC, although most members reject its framing and accuse Moscow of using humanitarian claims as a pretext for aggression.

I think it's the opposite, Ukraine recently lifted the ban on military aged men leaving the country.

It means they are under no pressure

They didn't. They only lifted the ban on the 18-22 year olds (smallest cohort) in order to win political points.

Yea. That proves the situation has improved since 2022.

Russian propaganda was saying that "all the young men are dead, so Kyiv is recruiting old geezers."

The truth is, Putin is desperate for an exit.

We will not give it to him.
