If it's odd you add the number if it's even you add 8

Simpler is subjective

and he didnt even get 6 was a base, even that dumb curry got it

simplicity is usually objective, but thats not even important here because he didnt solve it

If I had a sequence 8 16 24 32 you wouldn't have a problem with 8
