i don't doubt this book, and most other books with any kind of advice, contains solid tips and insights, but it ultimately always breaks down to your willpower (!), and i have none

You can read it for fun and gain some new insights. I would stop drinking but currently there is no higher purpose stopping for me and I don't want to but that doesn't negate what I said about the book.

Apart from will power, what other way is there to actually quit any kind of addiction? By replacing this addiction with something else? Having someone literally force you to stop by any means necessary?
