i was only posting for you.

the answer is very simple, it's a question you can do without calculus. on one of my final class exams for one of the university math courses i took a very similar question to this was on it and you were allowed to answer it just by drawing out the shape and doing a basic volume calculation instead of actually doing calculus on it lol

it amazes me how people can learn this stuff and pass the courses but then a few years later not even be able to tell what shape this makes...

oh well i was trying to add input on the usual way one would approach triple integrals in cartesian form. 

and nope, i dont have to know what shape it is. thats the beauty of actually learning the theory behind a topic. your not restricted to just knowing the most basic form of said topic. and yeah it makes a lot of sense that a person who can solve this is apparently just as smart as someone who passed the entirety of calc 3. ..... lmfao
