animation quality is not too far off from the golden age quality u had when the original came out either
and its better in many ways tbh but still, original is better and more introspective

i always wondered abut the religious imagery in eva but hideaki basicaly confirmed its there because it looks cool

he's lying for interpretations to remain as vaguely in the open as possible purposes, its too on the nose

i also thought so but then again hes been asked about ts for decades atp and it sorta makes sense saying its just a visual motif for gravitas or exotic value. christianity isnt really prevalent in japan too so by the time the original came out they didnt really intend for western audiences to be like wtf is this and try to make sense out of it. then again u could say thats bogus cause everything in eva seems totally thought-through, but anno renounced that i think he said something like My show is just pretentious its not really philosohpical

so its really a bunch of yes but no

the end of the anime is pretty much shinji as adam and asuka as eve
it goes by shinji rejecting the principle of dissolution of the instrumentalitys project that subsumes all souls on earth, he takes misatos templar cross, which means he accepts sufferings and individuality instead of being part of the set that is within 'reis body' 
such principle is based on lurianic kabbalah, that is seen in sabbatean frankism. its core jewish philosophy that ''God died'' and so our world is a bunch of pieces or fractal 'divine sparks' that are not in union, that by their lenses is flawed and so the material world is 'evil' and must be corrected for 'God' to come back. gnosticism and mainländers philosophy share another isomorphic view in relation to that - this is not exclusive to neon genesis evangelion, anno is touching something very basic in esotericism, ive seen that in other shows and games

finally a nigga like u is useful which other medias have similar themes. i know of some 80-90s animes that do the same thing with tech and whatnot but not so much other than that

basically ur saying jews are tryna make biomechanical vehicles for humans to artificially take part in the fruit of life so that we may collect or "reinstate" these divine sparks and bring back former glory aka when "god" was present

yeah, physical and moral boundary breaking of our material reality so to speak. transhumanism and techno-renewal is part of that, for those are forms of synthetic sleep/death by the replacement of inherent body parts 

watch the dialogue from 3:26 onwards again, with everything i said in mind

theres a lot but idk, play bayonetta (its the game from my screenshot) the observation that the main character 'cereza' is pretty much lilith trying to stop the antagonists from doing such things is pretty interesting
