I'm not trying to generalise to all redditors but I've noticed an annoying trend where if you dominate them in an argument they just stop responding and downvote all your comments. can you be any more of a pathetic bitch?

Regardless of your argument you are getting downvoted on that shit site. People are trying to prove themselves right and not argue in good faith so they use the upvote/downvote/award mechanic to validate themselves. It really bothers me having written a coherent, well structured, well sourced post only to get a ton of downvotes and no replies, or even worse someone responds with the same logical fallacies I debunked 5 messages above and gets upvotes and awards. Pure cancer site.

arguing online is a waste of time ftmp. you're probably not gonna change the other person's mind first of all, so it's mainly just for the audience. second, why spend that much time and effort on dumbass strangers? jfl. I've been through with online debates. I'll drop a reply here and there if the other person's annoying, and it's easy enough to debunk what they're saying, but basically never anything more than that these days

you dont even need to post the solution, just explain the pattern/key

1. how could you argue that was the solution when the guy arbitrarily kept adding numbers to get the numbers in the sequence, lmao. just add x/y/z to your idea to fit the sequence, and then establish your own relation (he didnt even do that, tho, what's the justification for adding 8, of all even numbers?) between the numbers added
2. between 2 solutions, the simpler one is always considered correct (not that he solved it)
