comp sci/software engineering, we're already seeing massive layoffs. NVIDIA CEO discouraging kids to even learn it, saying that there will be no need for it in the future and ought to/rather specialize in fields like chemistry and biology. and why tf would anyone hire today's generation of comp sci students when much of them are cheating through their CS degree

yup but it's the entirety of degrees that are losing credibility and losing value in the marketplace. maybe aside from natural sciences/engineering and med/law school pathway degrees for the time-being

we're already seeing the shift with gen Z becoming the toolbelt generation + lots of speculation surrounding today's college students being the final generation(s) to graduate with degrees that will remain relevant/useful by the time they receive them.
