I have SEVERE SOCIAL ANXIETY - Jeffrey - 09-04-2022
I have SEVERE SOCIAL ANXIETY. I have all the physical symptoms when i'm at work, nervous hands shaking , rapid heart beat, facial blushing, sweating , overheated body temperature , dizzyness etc.
Last friday some new young girl colleague just looked at me once and i immediately got facial blushing n hands shaking , sweating and had anxiety for 2 hours straight after that.
I'm also TERRIFIED if the boss talks to me, especially if she talks to me infront of others, even if she doesn't say anything bad.
Or if any NORMIE colleague talks to me that i've never spoken to before, I feel severly anxious, sometimes i freeze n cant even get one word out, or just mumble.
If I am allowed to work in team with those few people who i feel comfortable with , then i'm fine. But it's the boss who pairs up the teams n decides who you get to work with. And the teams she pairs up are often massive mismatches , like pairing up INTROVERTS with EXTROVERTS. etc

Same. I have found that actively trying to mask it just increases the anxiety though

Both when entering work n when I have to interact with colleagues n also even if i'm not interacting with colleagues i still feel anxious just by being around them.
I don't feel anxious around everyone though. Out of 50 colleagues I feel relaxed n comfortable around 5 or 6 of them , but anxious around 45 of them.
The worst anxiety is at breakfast n lunch. I have to sit in the breakroom n eat around others then, my hands are always shaking while im holding my sandwich n cup of coffee .
